it could be a third option.--we are often victims of hidden ideals.
ideals implanted by genetics, religion culture and traditions, which distort and shape our views...
sometimes preventing us from seeing a way out of cults which manipulate those ideals

mine began with a seed my brother planted -- if there is no soul, why would you waste your life for a COPY of you to enjoy paradise.
which almost made me leave right away, but I came up with a plausible recovery, that prvented me from leaving until
the subliminal stuff, which I am sure they have employed, as I have seen them myself...that was the final straw.

do not understand "slow" fade, "controlled" fade, why not just stop quickly
by oompa inonthewayout has a current thread about a slow fade, and i have read many others that are similar.
i do not understand how fading slowly vs. fading very quickly has any different consequences.
and i mean whether an elder or pioneer or not.

we made our break when the congregation split and no one was sure that we were not attending the other congregations meetings...and so no one noticed for quite some time.
a fast fade will sometimes bring the elders around quick, but we timed it right. They did not bother us for a full year.

we, me and my now ex, did the fade... it lasted a full year before they started hounding us... .apparently they could not accept a not in nor out on their records and want us to chose.
in the end they crossed some lines, made my ex upset, I called them and told them --I cannot believe a god of love trust and mercy can have people like you representing him...
they told me that I would have to either put it in writing or appear before two elders to officially DA... I said fine.
My father in law spoke to the CO and he told the elders to back off... we thought we could continue the fade... but the elders took it upon themselves to tell the congregation that I had officially DA'd even though I had not according to their terms done any such thing.... they let my ex continue her fade, which allowed her access to her family, the only thing we really cared about anyway, so we did not fight it...I could not go to family gatherings any more, but she still could. They assumed I was the bad influence and now that I was out of the picture they left her alone... worked out great actually...
eventually her brother and family escaped too.

Why is god so angry?
by keyser soze inin reading the scriptures, it is clear that god has some serious anger issues, not to mention insecurities.
how does he deal with anyone who displeases him in the old testament?
he not only kills them, but their children, and their children's children.

anger is a LEARNED response to pain, mostly...so what does that tell you about an all knowing all powerful god that no one can harm?
just a fairy tale as many have suspected all along.

by the dreamer dreaming inwhat you dream must be manufactured by some part of you, let us call it the generator of dreams, prior to the part of you that witnesses can witness it, which seems a necessity since there is no conscious awareness of it be manufactured by the part of you which watches it.. in many cases you are very much suprized by what you dream and how it unfolds.
yet its conceded by most that you yourself are the source of both, the dream and the dreamer..... what exactly would god be if take away all the religious a$$ kissing and sucking up?
the ultimate reality that became aware...and since there was nothing but god to be aware of.... dreaming of something gods true nature could dream up... a universe of possibilities.. you have never known a moment when you did not exist.. you have always been in the center of the only universe you know.. as far as you can tell, everything you know is your own mind's interpretation of reality...and you are reality.. .

This is related to the concept of freewill-- I believe we are always doing exactly what the true
nature of reality dictates. people as if you are not free, who is pulling your strings, the answer is no one. I am reality, but I did not make myself and so I had no hand in my true nature and thus no say in why it does what it does. I discover what I like and how much I like it and I dont chose it. When my desires clash, the one that wins is no more my choice than the one that lost, which is still my desire as well.
Knowing that I am GOD means having no one to blame. nothing to regret nor be afraid of either.... maintaining that GOD understanding is sometimes a challenge.

do you accept the undeniable logic that 1+1 must always equal 2?.
i cannot conceive of a situation where 1+1=3 but there was a time when i did!

the only explanation that matters to any of us is how consciousness came to be... the thing is that somehow reality woke up, we do not have to call reality the creator as it did not create itself.... but I do call it the Generator Of Dreams as we are all reality dreaming about ourself... logic suggests that 1+0=1 so that one reality has always been, nothing has ever been added to it and it still exists. logic also says that this one reality can be divided nearly infinitily, and here we are.

apparent undeniable logic has kept many trapped in Borganizations like JWs with statements such as IF this is SO and that is SO than THESE must be SO... and if you do that often enough you have built a house of cards on a stairway of assumptions which seems completely logical and rational and impossible to deny...and thus you are trapped. the trick is that in reality many things SEEM to be so sometimes, not always. many things APPEAR to be as the belief about them describes, but not always... the world often works on a fuzzy logic rather than a binary logic, its not always THIS OR THAT, its often THIS THAT or THE OTHER with overlaps that do not total 100%.
examples of religious logic:
If four gospels mention Jesus than he MUST have existed.... really? if the same lie is told by four APPARENTLY different sources, does that make it true now?
Jesus is the jewish messiah because Moses prophecy was fulfilled in him..... Moses was a real person because Jesus mentioned him by name..... did we prove anything?
You prayed to God and what you prayed for happened, therefore God must exist.... I prayed to no one but what I desired just happened to happen...therefore?
much of logic is based on circular definitions 1+1 = 2 because 2-1 = 1, what is forgotten is that symbolic language is just that a language and the symbols are NOT the things pointed to by themselves...the point to something outside themselves.. one apple plus one orange equals two objects...not two apples not two oranges... the symbols can be misused if you assume that 1 +1 = 2 of the same thing.
